What IS this blog about anyhoo?

There must be many gods and they must have a great sense of humor in order for a)someone to have designed such a ridiculous typeface as the Algerian font, and b)for mankind to have embraced it so wholeheartedly for such varied and ubiquitous use in store signs, company logos, and grandma birthday flyers.

Our task here at the Algerian Font Sightings blog is to chronicle this absurd phenomenon that has spread from Antarctica to America to Australia and yes...even Algeria.

He was spotted wearing a t-shirt featuring our very most favorite font whilst the band was recording its latest album at Stone Heavy Sound in Burbank, CA. Good on ya, Eddie my boy!
